A true love affair with color best describes the
substance of Alexis work. Alexi is an advocate of impressionism, gentle but
commanding landscapes, bright and colorful floral still life and her desire to test the
limits of her abilities with both color and subject gives freshness to her work.
Alexi has been painting for over fourteen years. She has studied with
such nationally known artists as Ovanes Berberian, Monique Baudaux, Corrine Hartley, Helen
Winslow, Joseph Mendez and Sharon Burkett Kaiser.
To seek inspiration, she explores locations in search of exciting
combinations of light and color. Her locations include such extraordinary places as:
Tuscany, Italy; Giverny, France; New Orleans, Louisiana; Carmel by the Sea, California:
and Santa Barbara, California.
With numerous exhibitions to her credit, Alexis work is internationally collected
and nationally represented with Galleries in New Orleans, Los Angeles, Carmel and other
major markets in the United States. Alexi currently lives in California with her husband
Mitchell, and her daughter Jessica, Her two stepsons, Bradley and Douglas, whom she helped
raise, are avid supporters of her work.
